All about T

Wonderful things about our Sweet T at age 4:

T LOVES pretty girls/princesses/anything fancy.  When she sees them in books or movies or in person she always asks, "Can I be her?"  We have started just responding "Yes" to each request.  While reading books to her she wants us to say "T Cinderella" or "T Belle" etc so that her name is associated with every princess or girl or cute dog in a book.  It gets a bit confusing.  We keep thinking this phase will end soon, but she has been doing this for about a year now.

T loves to dress fancy.  I feel like I can count on one hand the number of times she has worn a long sleeve shirt and pants this winter.  Plain, functional, practical, comfortable, warm are not in her clothing vocabulary.  Ironically, those are the words which perfectly describe my clothing vocabulary.     She wears dresses and tights to school, sometimes they even match.  She prefers to wear summer dresses (without sweaters over them) all winter.  Today she even bargained for flip flops.  Once home the regular dress gets ditched as soon as she is in the door.  She moves on to Princess Dresses, PJ's, or a T creation.  She as many Disney themed/style dresses.  She wears several different dresses each day.  She also likes to wear PJ's off and on throughout the day.  She loves to create her own wardrobe using skirts.  She wears one skirt on top for a shirt and one on the bottom as a skirt.  She does look darling in these, but they are not very practical and they are not very warm. She changes clothes between 5-10 times a day.  I am not exaggerating!  It is very hard to determine when things are dirty.  I find myself washing almost nothing for her because clothes are not dirty after just an hour of wear.

T loves nests.  T still loves to create cozy places to cuddle and play with her stuffed animals and babies.  Her room is nest central.  She has two beds in her room, but often abandons both of them for a nest on the floor during nap time or bedtime.  She sleeps with MANY stuffed animals and babies.  About once a week I have to sneak into her room and haul them all downstairs.  Then we start over again.  I think she sneaks them up when we don't realize it!

T loves being a mom. T is telling us very frequently, "I am about to have a baby in one hour," or "Come in quietly and see my newborn baby." She has a great imagination so sometimes her babies are dolls, but often her baby could be a bunny and she is the mommy bunny.  She loves to play dolls of all sizes.  As you can imagine, all of the pretty ones are T.

T loves books and cuddles.  This is a surprise because she used to have little interest in either, but she has turned into an awesome cuddle bug. She is really into princess books and Barbie books right now.  The the greatest writing in those...
