China Reunion, Horseback Riding, and a 4-wheeler!

If you know us in real life or have been following the blog for a long time, you might remember reading about a special family that we got to know while we were in China bringing home T!  The other family was adopting J and we really connected with them.  We bonded even more when we realized that we only lived an hour apart in real life!  Even though we only live an hour apart, finding time for us to meet up is such a challenge.  Though many emails we finally found dates that worked twice in the last year.  Sadly, both of those dates were canceled because of big deal things.  M, one of the sons, was in a horrible motorcycle accident in the Spring, and Brandon's grandma passed away this summer when we were hoping to meet.  Finally on October 8th we found a day that actually worked for all of us!  Yay!  I went back and looked at old blog posts and saw that the last time we were together was April of 2015, two and a half years ago!  Wow!

The kids LOVED their time with this family.  They are boarding some horses so the kids were able to ride.  They also got to jump on a trampoline, ride on a 4 wheeler, hang out with high school students, and eat tacos.  It was a great day!  It was a great day for the parents too.  Brandon and I each enjoyed our time talking with Shane and Julie (J's parents).  The kids want to go back again... right now!

M: I was riding a REAL horse!

T: My horse was so gentle.

T: I could do this every day!

T: We have to be very careful on horses!
The adults hid (sort of) so it would just be the kids and the horses on the picture!

M: J was very kind to let me ride the 4 wheeler... A LOT!
We didn't take many photos.  This is the only picture we took of these two Chinese beauties!

T: I got to ride too!
