H is for Harold the Christmas Star!

December 24th was here at last!  It is such an exciting day for our family!  This year we had great added excitement with extended family in town and with the Christmas program in the morning.  We were all up, ready and at church by 8:20.  All the kids were there before the costume call at 8:30!  I was impressed!  There was a lot of nervous energy, but they were oh so sweet!  We noticed lots of people coming in.  The sanctuary was packed!  I think next year they will have to do two performances!

M had a major role in this program too.  He was "Harold" the Christmas Star.  In this program there were other actors who actually had bigger parts than him, but he did have more lines to memorize than he did for Melton.  He did great.  T was part of the star choir and she did great too!  Every child worked so hard and the program was very professional, inspirational and fun!  It was such a delight to see it all come together.  The directors did a fabulous job and the costume designer was truly gifted!

The whole crew before the big show!

Here are a few shots from the show!

M: I just did a touchdown dance pretending I was a "football star!"

M: Here I am helping the lost wisemen!

M: Professor Comet had a lot of lines she did a great job!

M: She told me about Jesus' death and resurrection.

Here are a couple of shots of the choir.  The kids with parts would weave in and out of the choir when they were not doing a part.  It ended up working quite well. I know the shots are from different times based on which kid is standing below the top step.

T is in the front row.  She is hard to see in this shot.

T is the third star from the right.

My favorite stars after the program!!!!
