Halloween Weekend!

Brandon's parents, his Aunt Jeanette, and our niece and nephew (A and A) came for a visit for Halloween weekend.  It felt like a very quick visit.  They arrived here late on a Thursday night because A and A didn't have school on Friday.  My kids did have school, so the guests spent time exploring and shopping downtown while the kids were at school.  They came to the church after lunch for a tour and then the kids were finally able to be together after school.  They all enjoy each other so much.  The evening was spent playing and talking and watching performances.

T and A:  Watch our show!

The audience!
These two are great at Twister!
On Saturday early morning there was some ball in the park.  Then it was time to get ready for downtown trick or treating.

Such a classic fall shot with leaves all around.
This makes me smile!  What a cool idea!

This year's costumes were a vampire and a witch!  M is a tricky age where he still wants to go out, but doesn't know what to be.
Spooky!

Pose One

Pose two!

It was decided that Grandpa Tom would wear a wig and Jeanette had a bag on her head.  A was Baby Shark and was treated like royalty all day.  Kids would run to him.  It was so precious.  A was Squid Game person which was pretty scary!

This looked somewhat real and made me laugh so much!

What a fun (Great) Aunt!
Ready to head out!
Heading downtown on a lovely Lake Day.  I was given a cape to wear.
I couldn't stop laughing at Tom's "look" :)
Checking our their treats!
Once we hiked up the hill we ordered some tasty lunch and enjoyed time at home eating and playing. There was probably more ball games and possibly a nap or two.
T: This is the life!

I am sure you can imagine how "all in" T is when it comes to VR!

The wig looks fun, but was best worn by Grandpa Tom!

Time for round two of trick or treating.  Poor A had to waddle his feet as the costume went almost to the ground and was probably designed for someone over six feet tall.  He was a hit once again.  T decided to change things up and went as a cat.  M abandoned most of his costume too.  We were a bit of a sight, but they still scored A LOT of candy!!!
The crew in full focus!
SO MUCH CANDY!!!!!
They had a whole trading system.  Yes, they received Pringles and large candy bars!

A and A have special Halloween traditions with their parents so the whole crew left early on Sunday morning.  Sunday was the actual Halloween day, but our trick or treating is always done on the Saturday before.  We had a typical Sunday with church and football and then we convinced the kids to watch Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown that night.  We were all quite unimpressed with the show.  Oh well, it was a good reason to snuggle and eat popcorn.

Sunshine and M.  Usually Buttercup is with M so we had to document this.
A unique end to a very fun weekend.
