November Pumpkins!

The last couple of years we have carved pumpkins in November.  We seem to run out of time in October and have learned it is just as fun to carve them in November.  In full disclosure, these guys were carved in mid-November, but I decided to make the post look like it was right after Halloween.

This is the first year we really let the kids come up with a design and do the cutting.  They had to work quite hard to cut through the thick pumpkins.  It was fun to watch them work and they were proud of the finished products.

T: It is hard to cut through this.

Brandon was there to help when needed.

M: Standing on the chair helped me.

T:  There are so many seeds.

T: I was planning my design (in Sharpie).

Such focus!

What a beauty.

Also focused!

Her finished pumpkin!

His finished pumpkin.  It is a scary bird.

Spooky!
