Their First Ski Trip!

In early February Brandon took the kids on their first skiing adventure.  M went with friends one time last winter, but this was the very first time for T.  They had a wonderful time!  T LOVED it and flew down the hill.  Brandon said it was the longest he can remember the kids going without bickering.  I stayed home and celebrated my first chunk of time home alone in a year!  I watched a movie, ate snacks, talked with a college/adoptive mom friend, read mental health articles, and had some valuable email/text writing about our spring plan for Children's ministry.  It was blissfully quiet at home and the cats and I just soaked it all in!  I am so thankful that we were able to find something that would fill each person's tank in a different way!

T likes to go straight down the hill as fast as she can.  She really wants to go to Colorado, but Brandon told her she needs to work on her turns and stops.

She's ready!

He looks like he has done this before!

The happy skiing crew.

Heading up the magic carpet!

Fun shot of the three of them.

The flying girl (she wanted poles to help her go faster).

The calculated boy

Joy!

Feeling ready for bigger hills!

M rode the lift alone.  Great job!

First time on the lift!

Heading to higher hills.

It was a good thing that Brandon held on tightly to T.  She didn't get off the lift at the top of the hill, but since he was still holding her arm he was able to pull her down from up high and safely get her off the lift.

The kids came home full of excitement and ready to show me videos and pictures.  It was a late night, but it was so worth it to see their joy.  They wanted to go again the very next day.  Sadly, they had to wait several weeks for their next trip as the temps in our area were frigid for weeks.
