College Reunion/Wedding Weekend

Early November also brought a very special opportunity for Brandon.  We learned earlier in 2018 that one of our groomsmen and Brandon's good friends was getting married!  We were so thrilled to hear this news.  When we learned that the reception was for adults only we decided that Brandon was going to go alone.  He connected with another one of his groomsmen who was also planning to attend alone and they decided to attend together.  This friend (Josh) lives several states away.  He decided to fly here and stay with us for a long weekend.  Our kids LOVED having Josh here.

Brandon and Josh had a blast at the wedding.  As it turned out there were six guys who were all in Cru together who came without their wives and kids.  It sounds like they picked up right where they left off and laughed and enjoyed themselves so much.

The wedding was quite a distance from our home, but they drove there and back on the wedding day.

A fun crew!

Dan looks so happy!

Brandon with Dan and his new bride.

They got home very late and I was already sleeping, but Brandon we excited to tell me about the great day they had.

Josh was able to stay with us until Tuesday morning. Brandon and Josh got lots of good time to catch up. On Sunday afternoon M was with friends and T and I went to "Guys and Dolls."  We both loved it!

T: I love musicals!
That evening as Brandon and Josh talked I tried to stay awake, but I couldn't make it.
The cozy cat sleep maker.

M: I am so glad that Josh came to visit!

The cats love playing in the bathtub. This photo happened to be from that day so I left it in.

Since Monday is Brandon's day off he and Josh toured around town a bit in the morning.

Lovely Lake!  Not as pretty as usual because it was so cloudy.

That afternoon Brandon and Josh did the Horse - Dance- Horse - Dance circuit after school.  They also picked up lots of rotisserie chickens for dinner!  We learned of a local place that has Paleo/Whole30 Rotisserie Amish chickens.  They are $5.00 one day a month so we stock up that day!

M: Josh got to meet Pony!

T: We love playing with Josh!

T: We hope he comes and visits again soon!

A better Lake day on the day Josh left.
A very special long weekend.
