Safer at home Haircut! (Week 7)

M received his first "Quarantine Haircut" last Saturday (5/2).  His hair was getting longer and longer and he was ready for a cut.  After quite a bit of searching we found the clippers and were ready to begin.

Brandon did all the clipping.  He cut his hair for several years in high school and early college.  M's hair is very different than Brandon's, so there was still quite a learning curve.

The first cuts.

We learned immediately that we will be doing haircuts outside from now on!  Hair went everywhere.  At the barber shop it seems to fall in clumps, not here.  T and I were in the bathroom which provided some moral support but was also quite distracting.

T: M was nervous so I held his hand.

Things were not looking great with the cut.  M's hair was so uneven.  I was nervously texting friends in the hallway.  T kept commenting that M looked like "hairy Esau"  which went over exactly as you could imagine!

Hair was everywhere!

It was quite obvious that there was too much estrogen in the bathroom!  Brandon found a smaller attachment and things were starting to look better upstairs.  I decided to take T downstairs to craft and trust Brandon and M to figure things out upstairs.

T: I LOVE this Lisa Frank craft set.

T: Which sticker should I choose next?

Eventually I heard the shower running and figured the haircut must have finished up.  When M came down I was astonished!  The haircut looked great.  Brandon and M were both pleased with the results.

Success!

In all honesty, it is probably in his top 5 haircuts ever.  It is so wonderful to know that we can do this in our home when we need to.
