Homeschool Day Two and pics from both days!

We have made it through two days on this adventure of an unknown number.  It is odd to not be working towards any goal, just trying to keep going.

I think day one went much better than day two.  We need time to get into a rhythm and figure out what will work for our family.  M got his math, reading and journaling in and T did what the teacher asked her to do today... sort of, so I think we are doing OK.

Most of the pics were from yesterday because I wanted to document our first day of the new normal.

We started the day with family Bible time and prayer.  Yesterday went much better than today!
Next we went over the agenda for the day (small sheet) and wrote day specific things on the white board.

It was fun to do an impromptu lesson on St. Patrick for St's Patrick's Day.  He was an incredible man who became a Christian while enslaved, was able to get out of slavery, became a monk, and brought the Gospel back to the people who were his captors.  Very cool to learn more about him with the kids.

Chore time!

Art/Snack time.

The grocery game that incorporates heavy work and weight lifting!

Journaling.

Journaling and iReady on his chrome book.

Music and chill time.

Lunch flexibility!

M wanted to try too.

Then T wanted to try back even farther.

T and Buttercup cuddle during read on your own hour (the favorite hour of the day for the kids)

Bike Ride/ Vitamin E and PE

Tree Climbing and Team Building

A sweet moment captured!

Their personalities in a pic.

Dressing like mermaid for bed.

While all this was happening... Brandon was in his new office AKA our bedroom.  He had several virtual meetings and phone calls and prepped his sermon.  The staff delivers things to our back door so he can stay in isolation.

Today M scored Buttercup for read alone time.

Tonight after hide and seek a wrestling match happened and all were happy and loud!

These pics 100% represent the highlight reel.  A lot of the day is HARD, but there are some very sweet moments and if I have to be isolated from the world, I sure am thankful to be here with these three that I love so dearly.
