New Year's Eve Day

After getting home from MO on the 30th we had a quick turn around for a morning/almost all day playdate with friends.  The parents and oldest sibling had Dr's visits and we were all eager for a fun day together!

The boys did LEGO's the entire time with only short breaks for snacking and eating.  The girls did 50 different things leaving tracks all over the house, but having a great time.  We miss this family very much during this time.

While the kids were playing I decided to try a new recipe I had been wanting to try for months... paleo cinnamon rolls.  Oh dear... the taste was good but the look was the very definition of a Pinterest fail!!!

I didn't take pics of the after from Pinterest vs mine, but I did take pics of what it was supposed to look like vs mine before the oven... and they are nothing alike! I hope they bring a smile to your face today.

The goal!

Reality!!!!!!!
While I was baking...

The girls made some slime!

The girls did a LEGO project.

The girls played LIFE!
The boys LEGO'ed

The boys finished this entire airplane.

This is a plane M finished on his own.

After the playdate the kids watched a movie in their new booster seats.

T: I can't wait to be 40 pounds three days in a row so I can finally use this for real!

No one in our family stayed awake to ring in the New Year.  This pic pretty much shows how we all felt.

2019 was a full year with many changes and special moments and hard times too.  2020 might describe perfect vision, but we ended 2019 with zero vision of what our lives would be like just 10 weeks later!
