5 Appointments and a trip to Chick-fil-A

After a very very full five days in MN, we hit the ground running once we got home.  We had a full day of appointments and therapy scheduled.  Our first appointment was at 9:00am.  This means we needed to leave our house at 7:45 to make time for traffic and the parking garage situation.

T: I was not excited to wake up!

After breakfast and packing up snacks etc, we were on the road.  Thankfully the traffic situation wasn't bad at all and we made it to the hospital in time to check out the construction.  If you were following the blog through M's surgery, you can see just how much building has happened in two months.

M and T:  These machines are HUGE!

Our first appointment was Ortho for T.  She has very flat feet and three PT's at the place she does OT have mentioned it.  The appointment was fast and simple and it sounds like nothing really needs to be done.

After that was the much awaited Endocrine appointment where we got to talk with he Dr. about M's growth hormone injections and the changes we are seeing.  She was very encouraging and even talked about an eventual increase in dosages.

After endocrine came labs for M to make sure his body was doing well with the hormones... it is doing great! The kids really enjoy watching different movies as we wait to see Dr's.  It is a special treat in little bits of time.

M and T:  We love watching movies in the waiting rooms!

We finished our time at Children's with M's appointment which led to the surgery earlier this month.  We were a bit blindsided at the appointment as a surgery wasn't really on my radar.  I am so thankful that is behind us now. We waited a long time for the Dr to come in the room.  We waited so long that T fell asleep.  This proved to be amazing because the appointment went much more smoothly with her asleep.

By the time that appointment was over we were very hungry and ready eat.  There is a Chick -fil-A not far from the hospital and a full day of appointments means a trip there is essential.  The kids just love their food and I love that they love it.

M and T:  Chick -fil-A is the best!

Before and after lunch we stopped at pet stores to try to locate a specific kind of cat food for the cats.  We did eventually find it.

T had OT that afternoon (I know, a crazy busy day).  We arrived at the OT place about 15 minutes early and this was the scene in the van.

T: I wanted to sleep there all day.

After OT we finally headed home.  It was time to relax (for the kids) and unpack and do laundry for the mom!

We had a potluck scheduled for the following day so we needed to do a little mowing of the tiny area in our backyard around our patio.  M also took the opportunity to learn some mowing skills.

M: I think I am getting the hang of this!

Even our tiny yard needs to be mowed every now that then.
