Fall Festival and Museum Trip

Our Saturdays always start with swimming lessons.  After lessons and showers and baths it is close to lunch time.  After lunch we usually look for something fun to do.  We had been looking forward to the fall festival at an area hearing place for quite some time.  Sadly, when the day arrived it was pretty rainy.  We decided to make the drive.  We arrived with enough time for T to get her face painted and decorate a pumpkin.  The kids each got some chips and hotdogs... and then it started to rain!  We headed inside and M decided he wanted a hearing test.  It was cool for him to be able to do the tests like T has to do so often.  It turns out he has excellent hearing, which is great news!

T:  I LOVE the hearts!

T: They had some cool decorating kits.

After the festival we stopped at an Asain market to get some curry.  The curry actually ended up being poor quality and I was pretty bummed.  As we were heading home we were close to downtown and I suggested we go to the Children's Museum.  The kids were game so we went.  Since we have an annual pass and free parking it was a great free way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

When they play together...

They added this fun musical train since the last time we were there.  Both kids enjoyed checking it out.

T: I love making music!

T: Hi everyone!

M: This ball drop thing was pretty cool.

M: This actually really looks like I am driving.

The kids did a puppet show.
T went and made friends and played and M got bored.  he decided to take a little rest in a book corner.  We also totally people watched this wedding party getting pics in the rain!

M: This is a cozy spot.

M: The science room is my favorite.

We took a wet afternoon and made something fun come from it.  It was a good day.
